Scope

The Video Surveillance scope documents field context after the cameras are installed.

The deliverable records what is visible, accessible, exported, and provided by stakeholders. It helps teams answer which camera is where, what it generally sees, what it is called, where it likely terminates, which VMS or recorder environment it belongs to, and what is missing, inconsistent, inaccessible, or unresolved.

It is not a substitute for surveillance-system design, camera aiming, coverage engineering, privacy or legal review, retention policy design, bandwidth engineering, VMS programming, analytics configuration, commissioning, or live system changes unless those services are separately scoped.

It should connect each camera to its floor or area, general view, visible model information, VMS or recorder association, network and PoE context, vendor/platform responsibility, and the exceptions that affect service, migration, replacement, storage, and owner control.
