The deliverable records what is visible, accessible, exported, and provided by stakeholders. It helps teams answer which camera is where, what it generally sees, what it is called, where it likely terminates, which VMS or recorder environment it belongs to, and what is missing, inconsistent, inaccessible, or unresolved.
It is not a substitute for surveillance-system design, camera aiming, coverage engineering, privacy or legal review, retention policy design, bandwidth engineering, VMS programming, analytics configuration, commissioning, or live system changes unless those services are separately scoped.

A field-useful Video Surveillance / VMS record is more than a camera count. It should connect each camera to its floor or area, general view, visible model information, VMS or recorder association, network and PoE context, vendor/platform responsibility, and the exceptions that affect service, migration, replacement, storage, and owner control.
Brand lists are not a limitation of scope; they show the kind of installed environments the record is designed to recognize and organize. They do not represent manufacturer authorization, certification, partnership, or endorsement unless separately stated in writing.
A focused Video Surveillance / VMS survey can stand alone or become the first phase of a full building technology record. Start where the operational risk is highest: a vendor takeover, camera replacement, VMS migration, garage/lobby coverage issue, storage concern, or undocumented head-end room.
